Ear Piercing

Ear piercing is coming soon to Swindon Health Hub. Our trained team will carry out safe, gentle piercing in a clean, clinical setting using the Inverness system, with pre-sterilised, single-use earrings and hypoallergenic studs.

Planned from £16.99 per piercing · at our Moredon pharmacy

The Inverness ear piercing system: safely pierces ears in three easy steps — cleanse, mark, pierce — using a gentle hand-pressured instrument with sterile, pre-sealed, hypoallergenic earrings and the Inverness Safety Back.

Why the Inverness system

Inverness is one of the most widely used and trusted ear-piercing systems in the world. It's built around keeping the process clean, precise and gentle from start to finish — which is why we've chosen it for this service.

Pre-sterilised, single-use

Each earring comes sealed inside its own sterile capsule that isn't opened until the moment of piercing, so the stud is never exposed to contaminants beforehand.

The Safety Back

Inverness earrings use a patented back that shields the piercing tip and leaves space for airflow around the lobe, helping the piercing settle and heal.

Gentle by design

A hand-pressured instrument places the earring quickly and precisely, using less force than traditional piercing guns for a gentler experience.

Hypoallergenic studs

A choice of medical-grade stainless steel and karat-gold studs, all hypoallergenic — a good option for sensitive ears.

How it will work

Three simple steps, and we'll talk you through each one.

1

Cleanse

We clean and prepare the earlobe, and talk through the process and aftercare with you.

2

Mark

We mark the exact spot with you and check you're happy with the placement before anything else happens.

3

Pierce

The sterile earring is placed in a single, gentle motion. You leave with your studs in and your aftercare solution.

Aftercare & healing

Every piercing will come with an Inverness aftercare solution and simple instructions to keep things clean while your ears settle. As a rough guide, earlobes usually heal in around six weeks and cartilage can take around twelve. We'll recommend keeping your piercing studs in for the full healing period.

The Inverness system is designed for the earlobe and outer ear cartilage only. If anything doesn't feel right as your piercing heals — spreading redness, swelling, heat or discharge — pop in or give us a call and we'll take a look.

Children & younger ears

We'll be happy to pierce children's ears with a parent or guardian present to give consent. For babies, the usual advice is to wait until after the first set of routine vaccinations — but it's a personal decision, and you'll be welcome to chat it through with our pharmacist first.

If you have any questions in the meantime, just get in touch.

This service isn't bookable just yet. If you'd like us to let you know the moment it goes live, get in touch and we'll add you to the list.
