Eligibility & assessment

This service is for adults aged 18 and over and is subject to medical screening and pharmacist assessment. It does not diagnose vitamin B12 deficiency. If you have symptoms that could suggest a deficiency, the right first step is a blood test through your GP — starting injections beforehand can mask the problem and delay a proper diagnosis.

Vitamin B12 injections work by correcting a deficiency. If your B12 levels are already normal, there is no good evidence that an injection will improve your energy, mood or concentration. Treatment is not guaranteed and is a clinical decision made following assessment. Not suitable for under-18s.
