Yes. You can speak to a pharmacist without an appointment for many common health concerns. For some services we may recommend booking ahead so we can give you dedicated time.

Not always. Many conditions can now be assessed and treated directly by a pharmacist through NHS Pharmacy First or a private consultation — without a GP appointment.

We welcome patients from across Swindon and the surrounding areas, with pharmacies at Clive Parade (Cricklade Road) and Moredon (Moredon Medical Centre).

Pharmacy First is an NHS service that lets pharmacists assess and, where appropriate, treat certain common conditions without you needing a GP appointment.

If you meet the NHS eligibility criteria, Pharmacy First consultations are provided free of charge.

Conditions may include sore throat, earache, sinusitis, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles and uncomplicated urinary tract infections, where clinically appropriate. Your pharmacist will confirm whether the service is right for you.

Appointments aren't always required, but booking ahead can reduce waiting times.

You can request your repeat prescription through your GP surgery, the NHS App, or by contacting your pharmacy.

Yes. You can nominate either Clive Parade Pharmacy or Moredon Pharmacy to receive your prescriptions electronically.

EPS allows your prescriptions to be sent electronically from your GP directly to your chosen pharmacy, ready for collection or delivery.

Yes. A travel consultation helps determine which vaccinations and preventative measures may be appropriate for your destination.

Ideally at least 6–8 weeks before you travel, so there's time for any recommended course to take effect.

Yes. Both pharmacies are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the regulator for pharmacies in Great Britain.

Independent Pharmacist Prescribers can assess patients and prescribe where it's clinically appropriate and within their scope of practice.

Both pharmacies provide NHS services. Clive Parade Pharmacy is also our private clinic flagship for consultations and specialist services, while Moredon Pharmacy is a busy everyday NHS and prescription hub.
